Pinellas County School Choice Program
Students are assigned to schools based on large choice attendance areas that contain a number of schools. Attendance areas have replaced traditional neighborhood zoning. Parents apply for a choice attendance area school assignment when a child moves into Pinellas county, enters kindergarten, sixth and ninth grade, or when a parent wishes to change the child's school.
